IT04 Video production

I am not very experienced with recording and cutting videos and therefore, this interactive tutorial will be helpful for my professional development.

The only previous experience I have with filmmaking is the development of an application video that was part of my application for an Au Pair job in New Zealand. For cutting this application video I used...

There are some general rules that need to be followed when developing a video:

1. shake-free frame (use a stand) and make sure to turn the mobile phone in a horizontal position

2. always use a second device to record the sound

3. do not sit in the video

Storyboards (including a drawing of the scene, the calculated time, a description of the camera angle and perspective, a short summary of the scene) are a helpful support for developing a video.

The pre-production phase is very significant for the creation of any video. It includes brainstorming, planning and realization activities.

The following mind map was created by the ProPIC Kiel group using the programme "Mind Meister" (https://www.mindmeister.com/de/account/login?product=1).

It is a helpful tool for creating mind maps in a group. You can immediately see what the others are adding to the mind map and be inspired by their thoughts.

The mind map shows our spontaneous ideas about possible challenges and problematic issues for language teachers in our contexts.
